I'm a thirty-something generalist who currently works as a software engineer, primarily in Java/XML technologies.

I have a passion for education, though I don't (anymore) work as a teacher. Get me alone and give me a stiff drink, and I'll be happy to spend four hours telling you what I think is wrong with the public education system nowadays.

I sing classical tenor, hence the LJ name. I've been singing semi-professionally since 1997.

I also enjoy listening to electronic music, performing classical music, hockey, computers, board games, and spending time with my friends.
